Abstract
This study analyzes intercultural education in higher education, focusing on the inclusion of Indigenous knowledge and its impact on academic equity. The objective was to evaluate the perceptions of faculty and administrators regarding the effectiveness of intercultural education in universities. A descriptive and exploratory approach was used, with structured surveys as the primary instrument. The sample consisted of university professors and lecturers. The results show that intercultural inclusion remains limited and ineffective. The discussion highlights the need for stronger policies to transform current educational models.
