Improvement of oral comprehension in elementary English through a didactic program.

Abstract
This research had as objective to determine if the didactic program improves oral comprehension at the elementary level of the English language in students of a university in Piura. The methodology used was quantitative and the type of quasi-experiment design. Applying to obtain the data a questionnaire that has been validated by six experts on the subject, with a sample of 23 individuals in the group that applied the program and 21 individuals from the controlled group. The processed results reflect that the medium qualifier predominates in the pretest with 90.48%, however in the post test the high qualifier predominates with 65.22%. In addition, in the inferential results it was obtained that there is a significant difference to the group that was applied to the program (average range = 30.15) higher than control group (average range = 14.12) with a Sig. = 0.000 <0.05 which was verified with U of Mann-Whitney, which allowed accepting Hi, concluding that the didactic program significantly improved oral comprehension at the elementary level of the English language.
