Systematic review of teacher performance during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021)

Abstract

Introduction. Teaching performance is directly associated with the quality of the quality of education, and that they are key and relevant actors in the teaching and learning process. Objective. Carry out a systematic review on scientific articles on teacher performance during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021). Materials and methods. A search for information was carried out in journals indexed in the Scielo, DOAJ, Redalyc and Dialnet databases, obtaining a total of 225 articles, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 46 scientific articles were analyzed. Results. The highest percentage of investigations were those related to teacher performance in basic education (61%); the country with the highest number of publications was Peru with 50%; while, 74% of the investigations were of original articles, being those that predominated, the quantitative and correlational investigations. Conclusion. It is concluded that, the investigations carried out during times of the Pandemic, mainly focused on determining the relationship between teaching performance, the work environment and education management. There are few publications that address the problem of education in times of pandemic and teaching performance.
