Abstract
The general objective of this study was to determine the willingness of local people to receive compensation for reorganizing their economic activities to protect the environment in the Pommac Forest Reserve (SHBP). The research method was applied at the descriptive level of the retrospective design. To collect the data, the survey was applied to 600 residents of the area around SHBP and observation sheets were applied. Through the data processing, the main conclusion is that the people in the area are willing to be compensated for the restructuring of economic activities for the sustainability of the forest.
